Cluster your del.icio.us bookmarks

Cluster your del.icio.us bookmarks is an experiment by tho PhD students of the University of Bremen.
As they say themselves: "This tiny application lets you cluster your del.icio.us bookmarks into tag clouds." Just provide your username of password and there you go!

Hi Wytze,

Nice little app you have pointed to here. I'm currently putting together a job application and you know, this app has helped me understand who I am and what I'm about. It was a fun exercise to take all the clustered tag words and construct a sentence on who I am. Without editing I am: Free, opensource, software, wiki, education, learning, podcasting, teaching... I think I could make a sentence from that...

Have you seen Alen Levine's post about unique tagging for use in networks of practice? He has created a tag "edpdonline" and asked his network to add this tag to any stuff they find that would be useful for teacher training. ALl one needs to do is look up the del.icio.us tag and we find a growing list of links...

Add this simple practice to other tagging services that have the social software capabilities, such as Flickr and we really can draw more from the network can't we.

My network has been using the free wiki service called wikispaces for some time. Wikispaces uses tags and can even bring Flickr images with the same tag in and display on its pages. We have set up a wiki to prepare for a presentation we are going to give, and devised a unique tag for relavent content. Now we are each slowly populating the tag with content, which is being sent out in an RSS to each other's newsreaders, images displayed on the wiki... there has got to be a seriously big potential for this in education.

Perhaps you're already aware of such an obvious use of tagging and social software. I just wanted to share with you this, as a thanks for commenting in my blog recently.

I've added your very interesting blog to my newsreader and hope to find more Europeans to read. As it is now, I am reading a very North American view on things, and looking for a more global perspective.

You know, the bummer about blogger is the comments don't get fed out to RSS. So even though I landed a comment on your site, your comeback was missed. It was just be chance that I came back here to see your reply...

I'd love to go to Orlando, wanna sponsor me? ;)

Currently I'm looking for a job mate. Lost the last one because they didn't approve of me blogging. :( It was work related, but they just didn't get it.

I might start looking for grants in Australia and internationally and see if I can sustain myself.

Checking out your educause blog now...

Hi Leigh,

Blogger spits out Atom feeds. Is that good enough?
This is the link: http://folksonomy.blogspot.com/atom.xml.
My Educause blog is listed at Feedburner.com. And there you will find an RSS feed of that blog. Should I make one for this folksonomy blog also?
